Knoxville Church Shooter Says He Was Protesting Liberal Views, Gays

A gunman who killed two people when he opened fire on a Tennessee Unitarian Church over the weekend said he targeted the church because he hated gays and liberals. Jim Adkisson opened fire on the church crowd at just after 10 am Sunday, while children from the Sunday school were performing the musical Annie. The liberal church is an active supporter of gay and human rights.

Gay Singer's Blackmailer Gets Prison Time

A Tennessee man who threatened to out a prominent Christian singer unless he was paid off Thursday was sentenced by a federal judge to 20 months in prison. 39-year-old Walbert Keith Farmer was arrested after well known gospel singer Kirk Talley went to the FBI.

Ku Klux Klan Demonstrates At Gay Day

Some 5,000 gays and lesbians took part Saturday in this year's Gay Day at Dollywood, the theme park built by singer Dolly Parton in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, despite a demonstration against them by the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK rally, rather than dissuade gays from attending as some feared actually helped boost attendance.

KKK Plans Gay Day Protest

The Ku Klux Klan has announced plans to demonstrate at this weekend's Gay Day at Dollywood. The Klan said it would send 20 protestors to the Pigeon Forge, Tenn. theme park Saturday where about a thousands gays and lesbians are scheduled to hold their annual party.
